1. Tell us about yourself!

My name is Amanda Rijff, I’m a Dutch flawless face make-up artist. Magnifying one’s natural beauty is like second nature to me – in a period of 15 years I’ve made up over 15,000 people in my flawless faces sessions. So I know all about changes you can make to complement your inner beauty. 

I help my clients by constructing a look that works as a natural extension – magnifying their best features. I believe that face dressing is a social contract and that understanding the norms surrounding appropriate dressing choice for various life situations can complement human relationships and boost self- esteem.

I am the owner & content creator of two websites – Fabelish.com where I put the daily puzzle of fashion, beauty and lifestyle together. And Amandarijff.com for more about me as a make-up artist and beauty coach.

2. What is your connection to Abel?

Before I started my own company over four years ago, I used to work at Skins Cosmetics as the head of artistry. I was introduced to Abel there and fell in love with the idea of natural perfumes. Abel was the first in the market to produce extraordinary (natural) perfumes that tell a story on their own, taking you to interesting places.

3. What is your favourite fragrance and how does it make you feel?

I fell in love with Cobalt Amber and Grey Labdanum, two perfumes that are worlds apart but they both touched my soul in a different way. Cobalt Amber has a sophisticated oriental twist to it that makes me smile and stimulates my wanderlust. Grey Labdanum is a very special unexpected perfume. It starts with ingredients like grapefruit, bitter orange and violet that straddle your nose, yet dries down in a most beautiful way lifting your spirit while feeling like a cashmere blanket at the same time.

4. What is inspiring you at the moment?

There are a lot of things that inspire me at the moment. The autumn season has just kicked off – a second spring, where every leaf is a flower stimulating all kinds of creativeness, like writing my second book while travelling and meeting beautiful souls.
