We absolutely make every effort to ship your order as quickly as possible. Although we work very hard to keep our inventory up to date and accurate, there are times where discrepancies are discovered or the condition of a product doesn’t meet our standards which could cause a delay in completing your order. We also make every effort to contact you with any issues that might delay your order.

Other factors that may delay your order are severe weather or other emergency situations, issues with billing and shipping address’ not matching what is on file with the payment used, and security flags received from the bank or credit card company requiring us to confirm information before completing the shipment.

Step 1: Email the Abel customer care team at us.service@abelodor.com within 10 days of receiving your order. In your email include your order number, item(s) you wish to return and the reason for the return. For all returns, products must be returned in their original, unopened, unused and undamaged condition. (Please note: Discovery Kits & Samples are final sale and non-refundable).  All shipping costs are at the expense of the customer throughout the USA and Canada. Please send all returns back to the address provided below. Please be aware we do not take liability for any lost or damaged goods in the return process.

Step 2:
Please wait for a confirmation from our customer service team. Once we receive the goods for inspection, it takes 5-7 business days for a refund to be issued to the original form of payment. Once approved we will refund the full purchase price, less any shipping charges. We will not refund the return costs unless the goods are faulty or have been incorrectly supplied. We will notify you once the refund transaction has taken place. Please be aware that your local bank will take up to 3-5 working days to receive the payment.

I can’t decide on which perfume, can I try first? Absolutely you can! We always recommend trying on your skin first. Our Sample Service is the perfect way to test three fragrances from the comfort of your home. Plus, you can redeem the purchase price of the sample service on a bottle when you find something you love. 

Are there fragrances in the collection which are more masculine/feminine? The whole collection is gender-neutral (unisex). If you are looking for a more traditionally masculine fragrance, we recommend Grey Labdanum. If you are looking for a more traditionally feminine fragrance, we recommend Pink Iris. Cyan Nori and Green Cedar are extremely unisex.

How concentrated are your perfumes? The Abel Odor collection is high concentration “eau de parfum”, with each fragrance having a minimum of 15% pure perfume oils.

Can you layer Abel perfume? Yes indeed… all our perfumes share the same DNA which makes them great for layering, you really can’t go wrong. If you’d like help getting started, you can read our tips and favourite combinations on our layering perfume journal post.

Are your perfumes actually 100% natural? Yes. Creating natural perfume that is chic, modern and long-lasting (i.e. without compromising) is our raison d’etre. So although we are flattered you don’t believe our fragrances are all-natural, we can confirm they are. More specifically, we use a highly concentrated formula of natural oils, concretes and isolates (naturally derived single aroma compounds), set in a food-grade (non-denatured), organic alcohol base.

Why is there sedimentation in my perfume? Like a natural wine, we choose not to filter our fragrances, either with a physical membrane filter (which dilutes and changes the profile of our fragrances) or with chemical filters, sunscreens or UV filters. Sometimes a sediment can develop after an amount of time in the bottle. It’s nothing of concern and doesn’t impact the shelf life of the perfume nor the fragrance profile, it’s just a natural reaction that has taken place. 

Does a 100% natural perfume stay on your skin? Yes. We have worked hard on our collection to ensure our perfumes do last on your skin. In particular, the addition of long-lasting “natural isolates” (see above) helps with our perfumes longevity. However, some fragrances last longer than others. I.e. Golden Neroli is a citrus floral that dissipates more quickly than the others. Pink Iris is a denser floral musk and has surprising staying power. Grey Labdanum and Cobalt Amber are comprised of longer-lasting ingredients resins.

How can I make the perfume last longer? There are a few things you can do to increase the life of your perfume on your skin. We recommend moisturising (with a fragrance-free cream or oil) before you apply your perfume as the drier your skin, the more quickly it will absorb the fragrance oils. Perfume applied to your hair and/or clothes will last longer than perfume applied to your skin. It’s good to think about where you apply your perfume. For example; pulse points are good for the fragrance developing on your skin, however, the inside of your wrists isn’t good if you are typing on a computer all day, or washing your hands regularly – where it will wash off. When applied near your nose (i.e. your neck), you become desensitised quickly from the constant smelling, so although others will smell your perfume, you won’t.

Why should I choose a natural perfume like Abel? If you care about the environment, those around you and your own health, then Abel is a beautiful, safe alternative to the largely synthetic fragrances available on the market. Most synthetic aroma molecules are synthesized from crude oil, a non-renewable resource. Some of these molecules are non-biodegradable and accumulate in the food chain, environment and our bodies. Are your products vegan? Yes, indeed. Our fragrances do not contain any ingredients from animal origin, nor are they tested on animals… we’re big fans of the little furry guys too.

What is in the perfume? Plant-derived perfume oils, concretes and absolute. Naturally derived single aroma compounds, i.e. natural musk from the hibiscus seed. And organically certified non-denatured food-grade alcohol. That’s it. See the full ingredients list of each fragrance here.

Why is the shelf life for Extrait 12 months?
Because Extrait is alcohol-free (unlike our Eau de Parfum) it’s base (triethyl citrate) doesn’t have the same preservative qualities. And because Extrait is such an intimate application, directly on the skin, there’s a little more potential for cross-contamination.

What is the concentration level in Extrait?
Our 100% natural Parfum Extrait are 25% concentrate.

Where can I find my sample service coupon? You can find your unique coupon code in the confirmation email from your order. Sometimes our emails end up in the junk folder of your email inbox so please make sure your check this folder for the confirmation email.

How long is my sample service coupon valid? Your unique coupon code is valid one month from the date of your sample service purchase.

I tried to use my sample service coupon, but didn’t work? Please check you are using the coupon code for the correct purpose. Your coupon is single-use and only valid on the purchase of a 50ML bottle (all fragrances) or 30ML bottle of Nurture. If it still doesn’t work, please contact our customer service team.

Is the ‘new’ Nurture fragrance different from the original? The actual Nurture perfume has not changed, only the packaging.

Why has the Nurture packaging changed? To cater an unexpected but growing fan base limited to neither gender or age, we have shifted the visual identity to be more inclusive.

Can I use my Sample Service / Most Loved Trial Set coupon code on both bottle sizes?  If you purchased the sample or trial set prior to November 17th 2021 you may use it on both bottle sizes. If you purchased it after November 17th 2021 you may only use the coupon code on the 100ML size, not the 30ML size.

The caps on the Nurture bottles are different from the standard Abel caps, why is this? Nurture has its own visual identity. Unfortunately due to raw material supply issues we were not able to launch this new identity in the bio-plastic magnetic caps. 

The packaging on Nurture 30ML that I received is still the old design. Why is this?  We have chosen to sell through our stock of the old design before shipping off the new design, the perfume is still good for 24 months after opening and with sustainability being our most important driver we would hate these to go to waste.

I can’t find the promotion of the artwork that you get for free with 100ML order? This was a limited edition promotion, unfortunately, they have all sold out.
